Web Site
The precedent-setting Web site features a course registration and commerce engine, and it integrates with existing systems at NYU. The result: online enrollment doubled in just one term, going from 15% to 30% of total enrollment.

Talking to Users
We began the project by talking to the students. User research revealed that the print catalogue, which was organized according to the internal structure of the school, made it difficult for students to find what they were looking for on a first attempt. We also discovered that obstacles in the online commerce process were preventing users from being able to register on the previous Web site. For example, an NYU Student ID number was required for registration, yet since most of the students were not already enrolled in the school, they were not able to complete the transaction.
Design
On the new Web site, an easy-to-use interface displays the course catalogue. Courses are grouped into an index by subject, which makes them easier to find. Plus, cross referencing gives the school a chance to provide more exposure for its wide range of offerings.
Brand Alignment
We created an interface that expresses the schoool's marketing message, so that the brand personality and value is consistent across multiple touch-points and SCPS retains its position as a market leader in the field of continuing education. Site content was written to support existing voice and tone guidelines, and to boost marketing and sales efforts.
System Integration
The Web site integrates with the existing Student Information System (SIS) at NYU to keep student, course, and enrollment information centralized, eliminating the common problem of duplication of records and data. All systems stay updated with real-time information, which eliminates manual workload.
